Tracey Kiff-Judson

Tracey is a kid lit and children’s poetry writer. She appreciates that children and dogs bring light and humor to the world. She hopes to do the same through poetry and stories.

One of Tracey’s favorite places to be is sitting around a campfire with her husband, her two children, and her dog Bean. Her daughter is a caring teacher of young children, and her son is in graduate school and hauls city trash on his bicycle. Both improve the world through their actions every day.

Growing up in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State, Tracey spent summers with her cousin riding bike rides to get peanut butter ice cream, popping bubbles in the sunbaked tar with pebbles, and hunting down wild black raspberries for pie. She is the youngest of four children, and she has grown to appreciate the teaching, the doting, and even the teasing from her older sisters and brother.

Tracey lives in Connecticut where she swims in the lake with Bean, cycles up and down hills with her husband, and of course, writes poetry for children. Someday, she hopes to hike (parts of) the Appalachian Trail and travel to Africa, Greece, and New Zealand.

Personal Experience

Tracey has studied mathematics, computer science, project management, and business administration. She has worked in technology, research, and financial services business sectors. She has volunteered for various organizations including Girl Scouts, MOMS Club, The Cornerstone Food Pantry, the Board of Education, and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).

I love sitting around a campfire with my husband, my two children, and my dog Bean.
